As topic really, my dad is planning to sell on his dawes super galaxy, think its a 53cm frame, so too small for me, if memory serves its probably about 20yrs old and likely vgc.

Realise that its probably not really the right audience on here, but is there anywhere better, or should he just run the gauntlet of ebay/facebook selling?

I had to sell my old tourer a few years ago and chose to do so via ctc classifieds. (now cyclinguk). I remember that it found a good home and good feedback.

This thread made me considered selling mine as she has turned into a neglected commuter only used for really terrible weather days and taking panniers with clean suits and laundered shirts to a clients office.

She has sat in the garage unloved since January so a quick wash and then a final 36 mile ride up onto Epsom Downs. I cant do it, she's a keeper so now planning a quiet road camping tour as soon as lock down is over!

I loved my Galaxy, no of the few bikes I’ve sold (was to fund a Rouke) and look longingly at them now. 53 too small : (
