Pressfit Shimano 105 BB feeling a bit rough so gonna pop a new one in. My question is, would it be worth spending more on a fancier BB or should I just lob in another cheap plastic Shimano one?

Any recommendations for an alternative?

I was looking at this: Driveline Threaded-Press Fit Bottom Bracket which seems to be a copy of a Token one and gets good reviews on AliExpress, yes, I know haha.

I have a Wheels MFG one on my mountain bike but that was only because I was going through cheap gxp BBs like it was going out of fashion.

The PF Ultegra BB on my Cube is now 11 years old and running fine.

Imo, no, it’s not really worth going past ultegra. Premature wear on a road bb is usually caused by over tightening, often from the factory.
Do it if you want some bling by all means, but I’ve used basic ones and ultegra, barely notice any difference.
Perhaps slightly different on an mtb, more crap being sprayed at it.

I've replaced mine with C Bear ones to stop the press fit creak. They are a bit more money but definitely worth it in my mind.

A 105 one should last plenty long enough, my 105 threaded BB is around 9 years old and still good.
