Three of us are off to CYB for the nights (four days). We've all ridden CYB before and were wondering what else was near. Maybe a short ride (travelling), two reasonable size rides and another short ride (travelling back) at the end.
We're happy riding most stuff and would consider ourselves competent rides, just unfit right now. One guy is just getting over a chest infection and the other had the man plumbing disconnected last week so no one is looking to do any ego epics.
I'm sure Cli-machx will feature for the last day. Is it worth using CYB as a base and driving down to Afan or such?
It's a good 2-3hrs to Afan, i'd suggest Nant y Arian, nice trails kept in good condition with a few shorter options too. Never been, but Betws y Coed's about 40mins from CYB, and gets good reviews from mates who've been there.

Penmachno is def worth a visit and much nearer than Afan.
