Ignoring my 'chaffage' thread since the mountain bike doesn't seem to aggregate anything 😉
I usually just go down to Surrey/Dorking/Guildford way but would like something a bit different...
Where is next best to go that has similar riding? accessible on the train, a few hills, singletrack type stuff, just somewhere to explore.... not interested in these places like aston hill/chicksands/woburn

Epping forest? Accessable from Chingford overland, and Buckhust hill /Theydon central line
However, its a bit of a swamp at the moment.
