After a month in the Alps and a full year of riding one of the chocolate norglide bushings on my Ariel has developed a ridiculous amount of play..

problem i have is that nowhere seems to sell the replacements.. and even on the Saracen web shop they only list a kit for the 2010 /11 frames and they are out of stock..

My local Saracen dealer is a joke and i'd rather chew my arm off than have to deal with them.. so i am sumewhat stuck it seems..

going on the short lifespan i was hoping someone else has had a similar problem?..

cheers!

Saracen have them in stock. All you need is a Saracen dealer you want to buy them from. There should be a dealer locator on the Saracen website.

Edit - the ones I got are for 2014. Not sure if they are the same as 2013.

I actually went looking for a dealer when i wanted to buy this bike.. and non of the shops near me (within 50 miles) listed actually sold saracen bikes or parts... i tried pointing this out to saracen via their web contact form but got no response.

the only shop i know sells saracen bikes is not listed and i refuse to shop there anyway

Try Solstice Cycles in Buckingham...they're Saracens dealers.

Alpine bikes, Evans and Singletrack Bikes all sell Saracen and all will be able to source parts

not that i am being deliberately awkward.. but Alpine and STB are 3 hours away, and Evans an hour...

why is it so hard to just want to order them...

not to mention i expect to have to buy a full set.. when i only need 1 pair

Given that Saracen are owned by Madison, could any shop not just order them in?

Do they not have some kind of postage system "up north" these days?

it seems shops that dont actually sell the brand in question dont seem too happy supplying parts for them either..

and postage from where might i ask? i have looked, and as i dont specifically know what it is i need other than it being something called norglide..

if someone is able to point me to an online shop that sells them i would be very greatful.. As my searches have come up empty

It's easier to point you towards a dealer that can help/order them in. Especially if you give us a better idea of your location?

Winstanleys do Saracen, they're in the north.

Bits like that often don't get listed on web shops so you're probably gonna have to at least pick up the phone to someone.

Any shop who do Genesis, Ridgeback, Ridley among others can get hold of the parts if you have the frame number handy and the part you want. Any shop with a Sportline account or a decent rep should be able to help.

Try Valley Cycles in Sandwell, Birmingham. Adam Halling from TheBikeSchool coaching on Cannock Chase runs the place and will be more than happy to help out I'm sure.

i live near Middlesbrough.. and if you look on Saracens dealer map theres a large empty space around this whole area...

As much as i have enjoyed the Ariel.. I think i will be getting a more mainstream brand like Santa Cruz / Specialized etc

We've just ordered some in for our Ariel demo bike, next day delivery from Sportline.

Give me a shout at the shop if you struggle to find anywhere local.

Just because a shop has a madison account does not mean they are allowed or able to get stuff for the bike brands. Even more so now all the bikes are under the sportline company / brand or what ever it is.
