I've got the pre-servo wave model of XT brakes and need a syringe to fit the tube diameter in order to bleed em. Anyone know easiest way of getting hold of the right type?

I got one off ebay. Saying that, even though its easier to bleed using a syringe, you can do it from the lever and still get perfect results, it jsut takes a bit more time. Its less messy bleeding from the lever too.

I got mine off ebay in the motor parts section (a 60ml one with length of tubing attached) it was advertised for bleeding brakes, but when it arrived the tubing was too big to fit over the bleed nipple tightly. Luckily I had some tubing the correct size, but you need to watch out for that. Also, get the brake and clutch mineral oil from your local motor spares, it can be crazy expensive from your LBS. i.e. 250ml Magura Mineral Oil for my LBS was £12.50, 1 litre costs less than that in Halfords, you don't need 1 litre but try phoning local independant motor shops.
