Having just got back into biking myself as an alternative to when it's not windy. The missus wants to take up biking as well. I've been looking around on the internet for a few weeks now, mainly at specialized bikes on various online shops and ebay for something to suit her. She can't make her mind up what bike she wants and obviously what size to get so, where are the good shops in the south east to have a look and buy a "ladies" bike..??

We're based on the London / Kent borders so don't mind a bit of driving around the M25.

Thanks in advance Rich.

have heard good things about Beyond MTB's at Cranleigh (Smithbrook Kilns) - they have some good lady racers on their squad and a decent ladies section (clothing etc.) - or at least I've been told.

Or go into Evans at Gatwick. Their shops are not my cup of tea but have had good service and advice from their main depot in the past, and they employ several ladies there. And being frank, would you want to work in a bike shop if you weren't a rider, equally I'd assume they employ ladies that ride rather than ladies who don't, so I'd assume the ladies there are riders too.

Head for the hills in dorking do some, and I think can get a large selection of demo bikes in:

definitely recommend beyond in cranleigh. jackie, the owner, is very sensitive to riders needs. she won't sell you something you don't need. they also do loads of demo bikes and you can usually test them in the north downs, a great place to test ride.
