Hi folks,I'm looking to replace a bike saddle on my sons mtb that I have just bought second hand,I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if they have seen any at a bargain price?,I would like to get him a comfy one but not something that will look huge and daft.

Try ebay.

I got used to Specialised Rival saddles years ago. They don't make them anymore, but they crop up on ebay for a great price, so I've got a new one on, and 2 spare.

Might as well take him to a bike shop, and get him to sit on an assometer. More likely to get one that's comfortable for him that way.

He hasn't got a big bottom yet as he is 18 and isn't built like me,he's skinny but just something that looks ok on his grey GT mtb but isn't like sitting on a razor and isn't a hugely chunky thing either,i suppose with some gel in it.I got a seat called a selle marco milano last year for about £6 that was a cosmetic second from one of the big online chains but i can't remember where, but i suppose they would have all gone by now

My son likes the Syncros saddles. I’ve bought them for his bikes and recently picked one up for myself, ti railed, for under £20 on crc. I was prepared to offload it onto him, but its great (and we have rather different shaped arses!)… anyway they still have the cro-mo ones on crc/wiggle, cheap as chips... worth a punt.
