I have a day pass from the wife and was originally going to Wales but they seemed to have closed the access roads.
Still want to get out but not into the mud fest of Lordswood or Swinley.
Has to be Saturday otherwise I would be up with the Cotswold Massive.
Where is either dry (fat chance) or frozen that I can drive to from Southampton without becoming another traffic accident statistic?

Just get on a train, and come up to London, and we'll go down the pub.

How about QE? Less boggy than Lordswood. Likely to be going there tomorrow with a mate who knows it very well - including as much cheeky as you like.
Or Surrey Hills, but could be snowbound or Slurry Hills if you're unlucky.
