We are riding Mabie one day and Kirra the next. Our digs has got a tiny hot water tank and there's a lot of us.
Any shower facilities at either of these?
If not is there a truckstop in the area?

If you are staying in Moffatt you should be driving past Ae where there are shower facilities at the cafe and shop. However, check opening times.
Use the bike wash
Bike wash or stop off at the swimming baths in Dumfries.

Never used a truckstop but it conjures up disturbing images of rednecks to me...
Might be a bit late but Crawford 'Hungry Trucker' Truckstop is just off J14 and offers pretty ace food though the showers are maybe a little bit ming but certainly serviceable. Just take flip flops. Every motorway service area will have showers again just remember flip flops. You've got both Abington and Annandale near Moffet
