I want to get my 1991 Overbury's Pioneer frame restored. Has a few gouges in the chainstay that need looking at, but nothing else too serious, and a re-spray.

Am considering getting some things altered if poss (like getting disc mounts/ braces fitted) but not sure yet.

Who's good to approach for this sort of thing? I'm in Oxford but happy to travel/post anywhere, really.

Ta.

Sounds like a job for Argos Racing to me, all that brazing on stuff and that it right up their alley.

Argos Cycles in Bristol: they restored my Breezer, including repairing gouges, new decals etc. The paint finish is a touch fragile, but it does look great.

Edit: great minds!

I can't recommend Bob Jackson Cycles enough. The new chainstays and bridge they fitted to my steel hardtail are absolutely perfect.

or Dave Yates in Lincolnshire. Did a great job on mine. Bit further away though.

Atlantic boulevard are pretty good as well Argos and bob Jackson, had customers use all three and all have been flawless jobs from what I've seen.

I used to have an Overburys Pioneer, lovely bike. Someone in Africa is now riding around on a one-of-a-kind bike handbuilt in Bristol after my parent donated it to charity. That thought makes me happy.

Back on topic, as suggested above Argos will do the trick.

I can recommend Argos following a similar overhaul of my Caldera.

Canti bosses off, disc tab and brace added, routing for a hose. Bish, bash, bosh

The frame looked better than factory fresh when I collected it two pack (?) paint has last really well.

Its a shame it now just hangs on the wall of the shed ๐Ÿ™„
