Contemplating one with and rp23 shock in a size large (strip a bike and build up custom)
any one know the weight of the frame?
I had one and did know, but I forget, I might have it on the home machine if I remember to check later. Not too heavy, not too light, I have in mind 7lbs but I might be making that up ๐ It'd need to wait till I got home to check my spreadsheet if I still have it.
Does it matter that much? I know the lightest complete bikes (pretty pimping) got down to 25.5lb, but that's leftys and crossmaxes etc.
anyone know?
Google search says (though the link is dead):
The Cannondale Prophet. Hydroformed Delta V Frame. Frame weight is 2.38 kg (5.25 lbs.) without the shock.
Considering I believe the Gemini weigh's around 7lbs (can't remember if this is with or without shock), it weighs significantly less...
I borrowed a SC Superlight (XT/hope wheels/reba's) then bought a lefty equipment prophet - I didn't think there was much betweeen them weight wise... it is pretty damned light (especially after the gemini)
AH now, i do remember the prophet's 0.5lb more than a superlight. Sorry I forgot to check my spreadsheet.
This MTBR thread says 7lbs with shock..
