I have a DT Swiss 440 rim on a specialized hub which came standard on a 2011 enduro
It's a 20mm bolt through.
Can I get a QR adapter for it?

Sorry no - I had exactly the same problem and ended up changing the hub! Mavic and other hub manufacturers have QR converters available but not Spez ones!
