Were discussing it at work, mine have to be Apocalypse Now, Good Morning Vietnam, Platoon and Blade Runner - bit of a theme going on there!
scarface
Quadrophenia.
flash! (aaaaaah)
Repo Man
Rocky Horror Picture Show
BTW I have Apocolypse Now soundtrack on 12" EP, Album and CD
Garden State for sure. It made me go out and buy about 7 albums to follow up some of the bands.
Mulholland Drive, in fact most David Lynch/Angelo Badalamenti stuff.
I'll be the boring obsessive and nominate a bike video: Sprung 3.
They got a mate to make most of the soundtrack, guy calls himself Smoove. The album was never officially released because of the number of unlicensed samples (i think), but i got a burn of a copy from someone. After the slightly dated sounding first minute or so it turns into an entire album of chilled funk/electronica.
Guaranteed to relax me when the deskjob is getting too much, and has born one hell of a lot of repeated listens without getting boring.
quadrophenia
Blues brothers. No competition.
big lebowski
syaying onna Coen brothers tip, oh brother where art thou? saw me going out the following day and purchasing the soundtrack.
also Marie Antionette and lost in translation have great semi goth/shoegazer soundtracks.
90s bouldering video - The Real Thing. Kicks off with my favourite ever dance track - Marmion Schonenberg - before a descent into eclectic electronic off Ninja Tunes - ace!
Odd Man Out keeps popping up on my iPod and reminds of younger days 😆
colors
wedding singer
trainspotting
pulp fiction, or any quentin tarantino film. he's bloody good at getting the music just right.
I'm not really a fan of U2, but i think hold me, kill me, kiss me, thrill me (the song they did for one of the batman films) is a cracking song.
Paris, Texas- awsome slide guitar playing by Ry Cooder.
Blues brothers, followed closely by Meet Joe black.
the good the bad and the ugly especially -L'estasi Dell'oro (The Ecstasy Of Gold)
once upon a time in the west

Assault on Precinct 13 (Original one)
Garden State, Lost in Translation
Oh and Seasons 😉
Get Carter - the awesome double bass intro makes you feel menacing just listening to it.
(anyone who likes this could get hold of a decent compilation called Get Budd, Roy Budd did a lot of funky soundtracks and is sampled all over the place these days)
Babel - Gustavo Santoallala's spooky guitar stuff brings a tear to the eye.

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
The Lost Boys.

Morricone, yes! A Fistful of Dollars is my fave one I've heard.
3rd (or possibly 4th or 5th, i can't be arsed to read the thread) The Big Lebowski.
Blaxploitation films usually have amazing soundtracks. Black Caesar and Superfly are two of my faves.
L'Histoire De Melody Nelson by Serge Gainsbourg is technically a soundtrack (to a TV special) and is such an awesome record, I want to run home and listen to it right now.
Anyone who likes Bullit should check out Piero Piccioni's soundtrack to [url=
