My kids birthday last oct and he wanted a new bike....so after a bit of research ...we got him a spealized hotrocks 24.
Now specialized have brought out the riprock...a chubby bike for kids
Well he can't have aother new bike ....so I'm thinking can I upgrade the tyres to make it almost a chubby?

What do you guys think??

I had a Schwalbe crazy bob on my 24inch BMX cruiser, that was fat at 2.35, and surprisingly grippy off road.
Looked great but was very heavy.

Yeah Maxxis do the High Roller dual ply in 24"x2.50" but check clearance on a kids bike. They're also very heavy, and expensive:

(Edit - not as expensive as that link indicates though, I think we've got issues with VAT being added twice. Will check that out now!)

Alternatively check out the cheaper, lighter Holy Roller (which is really a DJ tyre) in 24x2.40" although this is out of stock at the moment.

Cheaper again, DMR Moto Digger in 24x2.35" is around £20.
