Hi all ...has anyone got the garmin 520??...what's the verdict..good / bad....ugly??
Does it link up to your phone easy....can you answer your phone with it or send text messages....or can you just read text messages and see who is ringing

Seems ok to be. Garmin sync works ok but phone notifications doesn't seem to work on mine.
The Strava linkup works well. Installed talky toaster map which is also good.
Notifications not working here either

What's it like with the garmin connect app??
Is there a problem in the firmware that prevents it from linking up with the phone...or is it something that needs to looked into more to make it work??
Played around with one in the shop where I work this morning with a customer. Wouldn't sync with his iphone but firmware update solved that and he was able to upload a route to it. I phoned him and call alert came up on the 520.
I found it a bit fiddly but am so used to touchscreens now (phone, garmin edge touring). Sure it wouldn't take me long to get used to using buttons instead.
Connect is fine. Just installed the 3.00 update. Will have to see if that fixes the problem I had with my phone.
