On the way to work today I saw a guy wearing science goggles peddaling furiously on a pink ladies ATB with BMX handlbars and what appeared to be a rack made out of a spot welded shopping basket.

Ugly as sin but clearly home made from the "that'll suit me" camp.

Wish I'd had a camera to hand.

Anyone else got pics or tales of similar heath-robinson beasts of burden?

Do you live near Malvern? Sounds like a somewhat common sight from my youth..

There is a guy up my way that cycles from Kilwinning/Saltcoats to Largs and back most days, hes on some sort of mtb/touring frame, 26" wheels, sits straight upright holding bars are nearly at shoulder height that look like high rise bmx bars attached to an assortment of extended height stems. Then add the multiple scooter mirrors and you're sorted.

No pics though.

Hukk Bikes, functional freeride bike, seen one of these the other day, handcrafted apparently, looks more like some bloke in his shed welded some left over tubes together but plenty strong i'm sure.

Is this like that "pets looking like their owners" thing?

(Sheldon was a legend, by the way, so absolutely no offence meant!)
