How good is too good to be true? How much of a bargain does something have to be before you are sure it's nicked?
If it seems to good to be true, that's cos it is. Applies double when on gumtree. Hotter than a jalapeno in a furnace
I've paid £18 for a bike before. But to be fair I'm pretty sure this wasn't nicked as I've been leaving it around town unlocked for 4 years now and no-one has nicked it from me, such is it's desireability and resale value!
I also sold a bike for £5 and a 4 pack of lager back in the day when I had no appreciation of a decent pint.

You'd be surprised. I bought a Spesh Hardrock off here (But local) which was legit but needing work for £50. It's now Mrs PPs commueter/tourer.
Also bought a complete 1994 Kona Hahanah in VGC but needing a service for £60
When it comes to parts, some people virtually give them away
A nice set of Recons, just needed an oil change - £40
Pair of OE wheels, rear hub poor - £5 (Yes, five...)**
Pair of better wheels with Hope & DT hubs - £40
Brand new (Well, fitted and unused) Deore HT2 crankset - £35
The list goes on..... 🙂
**Now on the aforementioned Hardrock, built into the rear DT hub off the £40 pair, the front of which (Pro 2 hub) has been on my Pitch for 2 years.....
How much is it worth then, if £1500 new? Looks pretty old (2006?), condition may be a factor. I have an old Marin that I'd probably give away...
