We're going up there this weekend, and judging by the weather forecast, theres a fair chance of rain.

Is the woodwork lethal when wet or has it got some special surface on it?

Bugger. I was planning on a Saturday trip but it does look changeable.

Word is there's a special substance on the wood but it's still lethal in the wet.

It's not too bad in the rain, it's the wind that really gets you in some of the corners when you are on the boardwalk.

The boardwalk has paint stuff on it and I believe it has been chicken wired too now.

we were up at the end of last summer when it was really wet and really windy, and before any chicken wire was added. the paint was wearing off in lots of places too.
it was pretty exciting - couldn't slow down cos of the wind, the wood was really slippery, and it was too slidy/windy to let go of the brakes and let the bike roll - even on the bits with paint.
the rocky bits and other bits off the wood were ace and grippy mind.

It'll be just as shit as it is in the dry, only with greasy wood to spice things up a notch!
