It was splendid on Thursday night but I suspect it will be sheet ice on the main paths tomorrow morning, when I'm there.

Girth shmirth.

As all the girls know it's the speed of the piston that counts.

tazz.

You have to understand that when you're as far behind as Tollah is on the trail it might become a bit boring.

I went quite early and the condition of the snow changed every half hour or so. The mel****er on top of smooth ice was a bit treacherous. We wanted to cross one fire road to get to the caff but it was so icy we didn't dare. We went another way instead.

All of the singletrack through the trees was excellent. The best way from the stepping stones, we found, was to ride up the stream itself.

The manmade stuff was virtually unrideable. Had a nice 3 hours off piste instead though.

Had a quick ride round the Dog earlier with Rusty Shackleford from here, was proper icy in most places. I managed to wobble round the majority of it singlespeed though, did better than I thought I would given the slippy ground ๐Ÿ˜€ Oh and I came back with a shiny new Cotic BFe frame which is almost built up - feeling great so far!

Did some riders turn up without any gears at all then?

One gear per rider is more than enough isn't it. ๐Ÿ˜‰
