As per title thinking about going down with my son tomorrow is it worth the bother or just an icefest (was thinking red).

Went yesterday, -9 when we set off. Hardly a drop of ice in sight. Did some of the enduro trails but even the climbs were pretty much clear of ice.
Frosty that seemed like dust in places, one of the lads slid out at the lower blue section so there will be some places that could catch you out but generally the level of grip was pretty amazing.
ETA - we had a fair few problems with droppers/shocks that we think were due to them freezing. Worst were ones that stayed in a garage overnight then traveled down in the back of a van.
