been thinking about selling my Turner Flux

Medium frame Raw
Reba UTurn 120-90mm
Hope M4 Braded
Sram 0X 9spd twist (new 1 ride) new jagwire cables (1 ride)
Sram 0X Rear mech
Sram x9 Front Mech
Stylo triple crank with new BB & new middle and inner rings
MT65 wheels
Nobby nic pacestar tubless tires
160mm rotors
Kcnc post (£90 new)
Kcnc stem
Easton flat bars
new 9spd sram cassette (cant remember which but it cost about £40

[IMG] [/IMG]
[IMG] [/IMG]
(please note silver Uturns are now fitted)

As perfect as the frame and bike is...I just dont ride MTB anymore...the bike has had about 30 - 40 rides.

I spent a little on new cables, rings, bars, cassette, rear tire, shifters, pads in Summer but I have only been on it twice in Spring Summer.

I'm thinking of cashing in but unsure how much I'd realistically get for it. its worth over 3k but I'm unsure what its worth now.

cheers
Craig.

Judging by some of the lovely bikes at very good prices (moots, lynskey, on one ti ss etc) that don't appear to sell I suspect under a 1/3rd of what it cost to build?

Negatives - 26", old taco style frame, SRAM, chainset not the best, wheelset not the best?

Positives - not worth selling - keep and enjoy a really great bike.

ps were 120mm forks reccomended for the older frames?

Split it and sell the bits seperately
Reckon on less than a thousand though.
There's only two pay days till Christmas so it's not the best time to sell.

The forks are fine, don't think the dw flux has changed geometry.

The frames seem undervalued considering how great the bushings are. I paid over the odds to prise sig123s from him recently, so now I have a medium and a large. Not sure you would find something that pedals much better.

Agreed, I got a never built up 2010 5 spot Frame for £622. Sold my beat up (but mechanically sound) 2007 Blur LT for £420

Seemed pretty mad to me but I'm not complaining I think my DW 5 Spot is brilliant

So to the OP, Get some Santa Cruz decals and call it a one off DW link Superlight and you should get a fortune for it!

Plus you get a trade in with Turners no matter what the condition of it.

I think most bikes lose value pretty quickly to be honest. You could advertise it for what you think it's worth and if there are no takers carry on enjoying it.

Craig, you've fallen in with a bad crowd. You need to ride it more.. 😉

You have to deal straight with Turner in the states for the Turner-4-Turner program, not via Silverfish.

Negatives - 26"

SERIOUSLY! that is now a negative? a negative used to be "is snapped" not "wheels are 25mm smaller than the current market would have you believe is necessary"

OP: Its worthless. if you pay to post it i will happily get rid of it for you for free. save you the cost of scrapping it.

I'm finding the same with my 5 spot so I have decided to keep it and spend some money on it!

It does seem that people want something for nothing and want top dollar for anything they are selling!

Unfortunately it does seem to be.

I would keep it - my medium flux with pushed rp23, pushed bushings and needle point shock bearings is super smooth at the back, no need to use propedal, no bob, no vices that I can think of at all.

But the frame is worth at least $600 towards a new turner frame.

You could find a mate who is about to get a turner frame and persuade him to the the turner-4-turner program...

Turner guy do you have the needle bearings on your shock?

If so what do you think?

Does that Turner for Turner trade in programme work in the UK too, then? i.e. through Silverfish??

OP - I'd keep it if I were you. It's a great bike....if you've gone over to the road as your main squeeze, then you needn't mind it that the flux has 'obsolete' wheels...and can just enjoy it on sunny days when the mood takes you, eg spring mornings spinning through the woods, summer sunday rides to the pub for a pint in the beer garden, whizzing through autumn leaves on a crisp day....

yes, I think they did make a small difference.

And there is definitely a difference between my newer, large, flux of sig123s and my old medium flux with all the push and needle bearing bits.

On sigs you are slightly aware of the suspension and any bumps more, on the pushed one it is just plush, sucks anything up, and still accelerates smoothly when you pedal hard.

no, the turner-4-turner scheme has to be done through turner, not Silverfish, but can be done from the UK as I emailed them about it very recently.

Keep thinking a burner in raw would look good next to the raw flux, but if I had the burner I would have to ride stuff to justify it 🙁
