Ianpinder - What is that little piston type thing under the shock on your big Nicolai? Been trying to work it out, I must know!
Its to stop the seat and down tube separating, using the tensioner allows Nicolai are able to use thinner tubes.

a stupid and silly shopping/gopping bike with a monster front that goes very well indeedy at 8psi (not a fat front by any means, but it's got bingo wings and a muffin top at least)
a ellsworth marmite (I know folks think they look horrible, but it's the best 5" bike I've ever ridden and is still under 25lbs, so floats up long climbs and goes like a mad thing on the downs)
