Mine:

Get the big (3rd) tabletop at Swinley consistently

Slow down my jumping (I'm not getting enough height and landing to well down the landing flat)

Do the hip

Do the drop(s)

Do the ditch gap

360 bunnyhop

360 a jump

Can you tell I've spent too much time at the gully recently?

Keep riding, get a few more day trips. Extend the Mendip stealth network.

Bigger rides/trips.

More natural trails, less trail centres.

Ride coast to coast.

I'm 3/4 of the way through going for a ride every day in August. Body's starting to hurt a bit, and I have the Gorrick 12:12 this weekend 😈

Also, I plan to build my own trail. It'll be a secret.

Season's almost over, i've ticked my box: did an Ironman back in july. I'm going to try and get on the podium at Matlock triathlon on Monday.

I'm 3/4 of the way through going for a ride every day in August.

I've done a ride every day in a month a few times. I properly hated having to go out every day by the end of it.

The challenges I set myself this year are all rapidly disappearing, they were something like.

Ride 6000 miles in a year (on target at the moment)
Ride coast to coast
Ride all of the transpennine trail in a day (no chance now)
200 and 300 mile days (very little chance of these)
Video myself setting off a speed camera
Ride the SDW
Enter a road race
Enter a track race
Enter a mountain bike race.

All fallen by the wayside after a very poor start to the year, riding wise. Maybe next year.

My targets are for next year now, top 10 in solo at 24/12 to celebrate my 50th.
Wales end to end, pub to pub in 5 days and to actually get to ride abroad without a volcano to stop me 😆

I’d set out wanting to ride all kind of MTB marathons and ‘challenge’ rides and do a handful of Sportive on the road bike – plus set a load of physical targets eg weight, body fat etc – as part of longer term aim to be fitter at 50 then I was at 40
Sadly due to the weather and a string of mechanical problems winter training was fairly poor – then the chronic fatigue kicked in at the end of April – and has only just let up – although I’ve been able to ride its been really just maintaining base fitness
So I’ve basically missed all targets for the year

Planned to race road and XC, and been doing both.
Though I'm calling it a day on road racing, and that feels quite good.
Do more tons, which I have - it's not far anyway.
Ride the 3 Peaks, well I'm in so that'll be ticked off next month.
My cross season starts October, that's my passion.
Entering the LVRC Cyclocross nationals in December and hope to do well in the over 50s.
Rebuild my old 69 Claud Butler before winter.
Also growing my hair in a Belgian roadie Hardman mullet style and championing 'wife beaters'

Had 4 targets for the year and didn’t achieve any due to lack of motivation.

Looking towards next year now.

To improve my fitness & endurance after a very bad year in 2009 - Tick

Be more confident & faster riding XC - tick

get my commute to work time under 45mins - did 45m 8secs so almost there

enjoy riding & meeting other bikers - tick

One goal I have set for 2011 already. I'm 50 in July & I'm going to have a QED weekend (Quantocks, Exmoor & Dartmoor) to celebrate 😆

Get a top half finish at a 24 hour solo. Achieved at SITS.

Carry on ignoring the fad for learning how to ride properly. I don't even know what the "attack position" is. If a track looks too steep or bumpy, I get off and walk. Ongoing achievement.

Ride more of the local bridleways. Partly achieved, there's still a few more to do.

Put on a trailquest event. On schedule to achieve in December.

Was hoping to get a top 10 in my class road racing and get in the top 3rd in the mountain bike race series over here.

Results:

Big fail Managed 3 road races and 4 or 5 mtb races before my back gace way and I am now entering my 3rd month off the bike completely.

As of June my target was changed to recover enough to begin training again by the end of the year in order to achieve this years tagets next year. Maybe I should aim top 5 in a road race seeing as I made a top 20 and got 3rd in the smaller and less formal intro race at the start of the season...

MTG - is that your event at the Wyre on 5th December? I'll be there!

Any thoughts re mustering up a group from STW? Should add to the challenge...

Maintain the fitness Ive gained this summer.

Be more organised about my rides instead of just heading for a mountain and seeing what happens.

Get better at drop-offs.
