As a sales rep?
Suited and booted?
All the Bike sales reps I encounter are in jeans/t shirt or lycra.
But for an interview I would suit and boot.

Suit.
Your'e unlikely to offend anyone if you go to an interview in a suit.
Suit.
I work for a sailing magazine and I get people turn up for (sales) interviews in all sort of strange outfits - presumably because they think we are all jeans wearing media types. We are. But I still expect people to look smart for an interview!
Do you personally feel good in a suit? I always wear mine for interviews, it's not always essential but it just feels like good setup to me, as soon as it's on I'm in the interview mindset.

Skin suit and booty.
Scruff-I dare you to wear that on Thursday night
Being in the creative industry I have this problem, I've always looked at this like this and worn a suit:
Two possible outcomes..
1. You wear a suit and they don't, you laugh it off perhaps remove your Jacket & tie.
2. You don't wear a suit but they do, you look and feel like a tit.
Just wear a suit if you have one and it fits OK/doesn't make you look like a defendant.
Suit up, it shows respect, even though we may be T shirt and Baggy wearing bozos, on the odd occasion we can always raise our game and we need to know you can... There are a lot of 'suits' in cycling and occasionally we have to deal with them and suit up ourselves... Tedious but fact.
Always wear a suit to an interview, even in the bike trade )
(I'm in the bike trade and wore a suit to interviews as well as seeing >90% of product / sales job interviewees do the same)
Good luck.

Interview? Suit. End of!
I just had one for a cycle mechanics job. I wore a suit. It was noticed I'd made an effort. Despite the fact that they 'don't usually interview people with no experience' I've been asked back for a 2hr session in the workshop......
Time will tell.
First impression last though. ๐
Suit or shirt and smart suit trousers and shoes. Make sure the shoes are clean too. People will notice that.
