MegaSack DRAW - 6pm Christmas Eve - LIVE on our YouTube Channel
I'm after some new brake pads for my cyclocross cantilever brakes. Whats any good? I cant be arsed spending loads on some swiss stops or whatever they're called. Are these any good: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=45695
Or any alternatives?
You may not be keen to pay for swisstop pads but the green ones do last for ages AND give good braking - I've been through a set of cheap pads in less than 40 minutes before - the green ones have done 2x 3 Peaks, about a dozen races and quite a lot of riding trails in the Surrey Hills.
Anyone have any other recommendations?
Kool Stop dual compound (salmon & black), again not cheap but I find that they last really well and seem to provide better braking than anything else I've tried. Some other people I ride with swear by the BBB pads for their CX bike but I haven't tried them myself.
Cheers, bought some of those BBB pads since they're very cheap on ebay (8.95 for two pairs)
I'll see how they go.
