Kudos to who ever is building the new lines at Woburn! Rode over and had a quick look, the lines look brillant!!
A pint of your choice is on me if our paths ever cross.
Can not wait till they are finished.

Why not go and lend a hand? They'll be finished sooner then.

Is that new "dh" lines or new xc stuff? Those Mulch/Roost ones were pretty fun last time I was there, the one that goes into the drop off sets you up nicely for the last few jumps on transfer line 🙂

David,

I am more than happy to help out. I have never seen anyone building, they must work shifts. Tons of soil have been moved about.

Tom, these trails are in another area.

I agree, they look like great, jedi if its you building them, you are doing an excellent job. I presume we are talking about the ones near 'the rollercoaster' ?

having a crossroads in the middle of the roller coaster is going to end in tears soon. Nearly T boned someone on a Bionicon last week, whilst I was on the 'conventional' route...I'm 17st and on a Zaskar - you don't want to be hit by me at full chat !

Makes it more fun surely? I nearly come a cropper with a dog walker and her terrier on RC1 the other week, on the ridge through the trees and there she was.

When she asked if "there was anymore" I was tempted to say "at least a dozen".

To be honest there is a fair amount cropping up in Back Wood, some of it's pretty good but it won't be long till the Rangers try and put a stop to the building.

😀

I've also noticed some old trails have been 'rediscovered' too and given a fresh lick of paint. The place has evolved so much in the 16 years I've been riding there. Not bad for a quick blat on my doorstep.

They have dug out the pump track much to my horror but are planning to relocate to a new area....not that there's much left.
Hopefully the new track will be as good as the old and I can embarrass my self In front of the jump lads as usual.

Sorry but is it downhill or xc being built as I live down the road and will be happy to help build as I ride both. But mostly xc at Woburn at the moment.

It's been over a year since I've ridden at Woburn....shocking.

elliott you must remember when virtually every trail was tarmac smooth? Just looking at pictures from 2000 and a lots changed.

Sounds great, but either I'm blind, or this must be very recent, as I didn't see anything new when I was last there a month ago. Any info/clues would be much appreciated (email in profile) if I am being blind!

seems to be pretty much down hill runs and dirt jumps mainly but some new XC trails have sprung up but only small sections.

I would love to see a new "sanctioned" trail cut at Woburn just to stop the pedestrians whining about us using the bridals and walking trails.

Yep, definitely less peddling back then. 😆
