What tyres for a Beinn 20? The back SB8 in #1 spawn’s bike is starting to look a bit perished so replacement time is upon us; would ideally like something reasonably light and fast rolling about a 38-406.

The options look to be:

Another SB8
Isla’s own tyres (Réidh/Réidh Pro)
Schwalbe Little Joe

Any other options or recommendations?

Yea, roll well with the centre tread and very puncture proof. Good for using in the dirt, if your tarmac biased maybe look elsewhere.

Is the Little Joe essentially the same only lighter (folding bead)?

got the 24" variant on my daughters bike, and they are perishing before being worn out, had them just over a year and there are cracks all  over them.  Apart from that fast, good volume, good grip for what they need and cheap.

Another vote for the Black Jack here, basically bomb proof and great grip which is far more important than the fact it weighs a packet of crisps more.
