Trailrakers are working here, but I'd like something fatter, but i guess they wouldn't be as effective.

Panaracer CG soft conditions.
Enough volume for messing about and loads of grip

Loving my Mud X. My friend was on rocket rons. He must have pedalled twice as far as me with all his spinning.
He did mention that with my tyre prints you could see my knobbly print whereas he just left a blank rut.

My rocket Rons were crap today in the gloopy non way marked trails at Cannock. I really struggled.

Depends where you ride/ what part of the world you live in etc doesn't it
Muddy Mary 2.5 front & nobby nic 2.2 works here in Shropshire (for me)

I think a deknobbled nevegal and an eskar on one bike, and a butcher and a telonix on the other. Not sure if the telonix is good or not tbh!

Oh and a baron on a spare wheel for when it's really grim, but this lot all work well enough in most conditions.

XR4 on the front. ADvantage on the back.
Perfect.

Ms S has a Cinder on the front and a Purgatory on the back.
Equally as good, both bikes feel pretty much the same, very similar tread patterns.
Cinders are a very, very underrated tyre.

Mind you, the Crossmark I took off the back recently was working fine as well, as long as you were careful.
It's too wet round here to be classed as muddy at the mo.

I've been using Bonty Mud X 1.8s. Brilliant for shedding mud, but maybe a little narrow for riding the none muddy bits.

My Rockets Rons are aweful in the mud!

I use the same type all year round and adjust my riding to suit conditions. If the conditions are horrendous then it's road bike time ๐Ÿ™‚

Maxxis Medusa on rear of singlespeed, for chewing through some of Clumber's swamps and an old Panaracer Fire on the front, cos it hasn't worn out yet.

I was using High Rollers today - they're brilliant on rocky trail centre stuff but rubbish on everything else. On the plus side though, a perfect opportunity to work on my two wheel drifts/slides.

Ralphs are ok as a front, mixed/bad conditions, tyre? I have a 29x2.3 in a box that I am tempted to switch for the heavy old Hans Dampf I have on at the mo.

Beavers when it gets very gloopy but tried Smorgasboards yesterday and they were fantastic in mixed conditions.
