I've got a Kinesis RC2 road frame and FSA Carbon Pro Team Issue cranks
need to order a new ISIS BB but don't know what size I need
the BB shell is 73mm

can I work it out without measuring?

I'm trawling the website at the moment...

is there a way I can measure it without taking the cranks/ bottom bracket off?

You've only got 2 choices with Octalink road BBs, 110 or 121 (for double/triple) off the top of my head, could be 113 or 121, but you want the shorter one.

thanks njee, it's a double chainset and it's definitely a 68mm
Octalink V1 (road) comes in 109.5 and 118.5mm axle
so I definitely need a 109.5mm axle??

Road bikes are all 68mm (or 70mm Italian thread, but lets not complicate things), so yes you want the shorter one.

Edit: had things the wrong way round, yes, you want the V1, shallow spline version.

this thread has highlighted my lack of knowledge about road bikes!

V1 is the shallower according to Sheldon
