As someone who commute a lot by bike in the traffic - that taxi driver is an a$$hole, no doubt about that, but did you check over yr shoulder to make sure no-one was 'coming up yr a$$' like that? Commuting bt bike on a carriageway in the dark, you're a hell of a lot more vulnerable.

Ride safe.

Careless driving if the rider had reflectors/light?

He was chasing that transit by the looks of it, knobber. If he's got the guys plate, get him reported!

If you were well lit, both drivers (and especially the last one) are ****ing lethal dickheads and need police intervention.

If you weren't well lit, on that road, you need psychiatric intervention.

(can you get numbers off the video ? send to police if so)

You can see the front flashing light reflecting of surfaces, what were you wearing and what rear light did you have on?

That driver should have to resit his test, also be put on probation and if he's seen to be driving like that again, banned for good!

Have his feet removed. In all fairness I wouldn't ride on that road though.

Such a shame, the roads in the UK are as bad for cyclists as they have ever been.

The rider wasn't me,
he was fully christmas tree'd up & has a very bright rear light.

I wondered if you'd expect the law to act & how much?

I wouldn't expect much quite honestly - its a near miss nothing more. Not great evidence either

Even if its just a near miss, its worth calling the cops. I did.

For the record, I frikkin' hate flashing front lights, both as a cyclist and a driver. Gives the drivers no idea of depth perception and causes a distraction from other things on the road, and as a cyclist it makes it a 'mare seeing anything.
