work have just opened the bike to work scheme,
now i dont need a new bike, but ill have to get one cos they are nearly half price.
so.... thinking of a road/commuter bike, max price is a grand

I think I'm going to piggy-back accessories on as well - if I could get helmets, lights and locks at the same time that'd actually be more use than yet another bike really...
Try one of the Boardman bikes - a carbon road bike for a grand and they get great reviews.
A single speed, there's a terrible shortage of lady riders going gearless and i'd like to there to be a better chance of me meeting a senseless fool like me.

If I were doing it again I'd probably find a flexible shop and spend most of the money on a fancypants fork.
