Personally, I like something that doesn't disintegrate, like a ciabatta or focaccia, stuffed with ham, cheese, rocket, tomato, gherkin and mayo. Tough on the outside, lovely and soggy inside. Ahem....

You might fancy a bit of mutton while you're there?

Appearances can be deceptive...

In seriousness, two sandwiches. First one should be pure pleasure, therefore wholemeal bread, peanut butter and jam with some random green stuff thrown on there for good measure. Second one for later in the ride needs to be on the ball refuelling wise. So, again, wholemeal (you don't see white dog shit anymore. Wonder why? White bread. That's why.) Now, some green stuff to start. I would then throw on a good dose of that mackeral with some egg to garnish. You could do a whole lot worse that spread marmite on one of the slices of bread.

Hope this helps.
