Not wanting to take my normal lid into London each day, so after something that is:
a) not too expensive as it's going to get knocked around a bit
b) has to be big enough for my enormous melon
c) ideally won't give me silly helemt hair (I know, I know)
I'd look for a high end helmet that's on sale - maybe something like an E2 - basically because they tend to have less exposed polystyrene to get bashed.
As to helmet hair, no chance 🙂
If I was in the market for a commuting specific helmet, I'd look at the Abus Hi Viz Commuter lid.
But most helmets from the big brands are perfectly fine nowadays, even the cheaper ones. And helmet hair can be fixed with water and a comb?
