There doesn't seem much content in terms of directions (basically 5 short paragraphs covering a 19mile ride in Calderdale).

As a rule are the What mountain bike routes easy to follow or are do the editorial staff shorten the text a tad too much to get them to fit into the allotted space in the mag?

I've got the OL21 infront of me, need a magnifying glass though as the scale is small.

I was in two minds to take the map back and get a refund (have receipt still).. if I could get away with just the WHatmtb route sheet.....me a Yorkshireman you say?

The WMB and MBR routes are quite difficult to understand and everytime I've used them I've had to back track at some point or another... I've also got OS maps for the ones I've tried as without them it's a nightmare. Easy short routes aren't bad but the longer they are and the smaller the scale the worse they are. Remember you have to use the map more than the written content!!!!

In that case I'll keep/take the map with me tomorrow for cross-reference. Bugga could have saved £8.50.

MBR routes arent to difficult its the areas each time, once you've 12 months worth of mags thats it you're set for life. Peak - Hayfield or Cut Gate. Even easier this month because its broadly the same as last.
