Just bought a power meter, and trying to think what would be useful to have displayed on my garmin.
Having had cataracts removed this year and new lenses in my eyes that don't do reading distance, I can only have 2 or 3 things displayed at a time that I can read quickly while riding. My main aim over the next few months is too limit my power and extend distance, it would be nice to have 3 second power with the zone indicated by a colour, but I don't think that is possible.

So what information do you find useful to have while riding?

I have 3 second power and IF on one page. For long steady rides I find IF useful to keep my efforts in check. Looking for about 0.7 IF on 5 hour plus mtb rides.

Might sir/madam like to see our range of safety glasses with a reading lens - or perhaps some"stick-on" reading lenses for his/her current gegs ?

Depends what you're doing....

Time of day (ensuring you don't miss race start)

Power - 3s, 10s or 30s depending on length of interval or ride (don't use instantaneous).  If using intervals, then use the lap power display option.  I also prefer average rather than normalised power

Depends.

Always:
Distance, average speed, elapsed time, time of day.

If I’m doing a big route then also:
ETA, distance left, sunset, that sort of thing.

Never anything fitness related 😀
