I mean what's actually in it? Need some and have a whole armory of specialist industrial/maintenance chemicals, sure one of them must be what carbon paste is...
"paste wiv bits in"
I believe
It's just some sort of grease with little carbon balls in.
According to Pace:
"A small tub of blue goo to you, but a life changing synthetic suspension of friction increasing polymer globes as far as your sinking seatpost is concerned. A thin smear is enough to reduce clamping torque on carbon or alloy seatposts by up to 30%, minimising the risk of crush or cracking damage and keeping your seat height right for ride after ride."
So basically what the other posters said - grease with bits in...
I heard that most grease could bugger up carbon/epoxy and shouldn't be applied to carbon bike bits - is that a lie ?
burnt toast put through the moulinex

Delicious
It's like toothpaste but it's for polishing carbon frames instead of teeth.
It's a plastic friendly grease with ceramic balls.
