A friend is looking to buy a hybrid bike for occasional use, odd weekend ride and general fitness. They are currently considering a Pinnacle Lytham 1 from Evans. I have not a clue about hybrids so does anyone out there have an opinion on this particualr bike and any alternatives? Cheers S

A mate bought some kind of Claude Butler for a bit more than that. He's chuffed with it for sure.

Best value if you go for something that's not flashy, like a ridgeback. My old shop used to sell bucketloads of em and they always seemed to last pretty well.
£299'll get you something like the speed, which comes with rack & mudguards already.
Admittedly they look boring, but they're good solid bikes at a good price.
