I sent my forks off to Mojo the other day, so when they arrive back i was planning a clean-up and re-grease of my headset
The only grease i have is the stuff in the grease gun Santa Cruz kindly supply you with frames - will that be ok?
Any help would be grateful...........

That grease should be fine IMO.. I just put mine together and because they are sealed bearings I don't think the type of grease is that important.

Santa cruz ship their frames with marine grease, I use quicksilver marine grease on my ck headset and bottom bracket and it lasts ages and feels pretty smooth.
when i bought my one and only ck headset it recommended wd 40 nothing thicker! dunno but i reckon there'll be a faq sheet on their website

They might mention wd40 for cleaning the bearing out when servicing.
They don't advise re greasing with a solvent like that though.
Any grease will do. Though i go for a thick water resistant grease myself.
