I am picking up an S-Works Stumpy frame this week and will need to get a front mech. I know it is based on the Shimano E-Type system, with the mount plate removed. However i am reading elsewhere that the XTR mech isn't compatible, only the XT and below, due to design differences.
Would like to fit XTR but don`t want to buy one only to find it won't fit.
Hoping the STW collective can offer some advise on the compatibity of the E-Type XTR mech.

The tech specs given on their [url= http://www.specializeduk.com/zz/en/bc/SBCBkModel.jsp?spid=45835&menuItemId=0&gold_ses= ]website[/url] specifies an "Shimano M971 XTR, DMD, top swing, dual pull". It looks like the front mech comes as part of the frameset. Why hasn't your's got one?
