Looking for decent frame to build as above so I don't have to use my Orange 5 when riding with the wife on canal towpaths etc, without spending a fortune.

Genesis altitude or an Oneone bargain steel frame?
2nd hand bike?

I have just put some 69nr rigid forks on my 26" inbred. I like it.

Budget upto £500. Did think about on one inbred, didn't know if Blue Pig would work ridged?

Blue Pig almost as overkill as an Orange 5 for towpaths. What about one of those Day One Cross bikes that was in the mag last month? Whole bike comes in under your budget.
