I want to get a set of Magura Laurin 130 FCR forks but they seem to have been discontinued for 2009:(
I know that the new Thor is similar, but they are too long at 140mm for my frame (will take it over the max fork length (500mm) ).
So, what other fork should I get? The features of the Laurin FCR I like include: air spring, platform/low speed compression adjustment and on the fly travel adjustment.
The new rebas look good, but they are 10mm less travel and don't have easily adjustable travel. Fox 32 talas are too long these days like the Thors....
2009 Talas are 140mm... 150mm only for scott genius OEM and aftermarket.
For 2010 Talas 32 goes to 150mm only, so buy 2009 and you're sorted.
You're almost bang on 500mm axle to crown on a 140mm Talas anyway**..and well under 500mm when accounting for sag.
**according to the 2008 140mm talas and tape measure I have in my hands.
Magura Menja 130mm = 500mm? (though less features)
I thought fox 32s @ 140mm = 511mm?
If they're nearer 500mm thats very low?
RS (Apart from QR '09 Rev) @ 140mm = 518mm
Thors are 520mm @ 140mm

Maybe spacer a '09 Reveltion down to 125mm? Would be 503/506mm (depending on model)
I thought fox 32s @ 140mm = 511mm?
Doh, It'd help if I let the fork extend fully before getting carried away with the tape..
Still under 500mm with sag ๐ณ
I'll get my coat.
"Still under 500mm with sag"
But then so is everything else thats too long
Anything around the 500mm mark unsagged will be well below when sagged
