I've been slowly building this up over the past couple of months with bits from my old bike and various used parts from the classifieds.

Its now ready for action, the only thing holding me back is my lack of fitness.

Your brake levers need moving out a bit and the hoses are too long.

Your tyre logos look good at 90 degrees from the valve . wheel logo. Well done. Nice attention to detail and level of anality.

but, red highlighted grips with a green frame, are you mad? ๐Ÿ˜€

You might get a better chainline by moving your chainring to the outer position on the spider... Or is your rear wheel not in the frame straight? Something looks odd!

Nice bike though ๐Ÿ™‚

Very nice. Red on grips goes with red on forks. Hoses are a little long if one is being picky.
Would look even better muddy!

Yep, hose fail, and it looks like your saddle may be too far back, but that could be the angle of the photo.

Nice colour.

My bred is so similar in spec to that but I run the pushloc on mine - if you've got one its well worth putting on.

Hmmm.
Looks like a slot drop out frame that's disc only and both geared and singlespeed friendly. And probably runs rigid or 100mm travel forks? I bet it's perfect as a winter singlespeed or summer gear racer. Though I think created as a chassis for a companies own bits. And has almost certainly been a best seller for them with it's clean disc only lines, and it's ability to run gears or singlespeed transmission.
Don't like it.

I like it. Looks quite neat for an odds-and-sods bike.

clean, simple build, you don't need more than that, nice one

Georgians had garages for their carriages didn't they?

Thanks for the comments.

Being an Evertonian I do have an aversion to all things red so am aware I need to get some new grips, the graphics on the Rebas though I may just have to live with.

Next on the list of things to do is to shorten the front hose, anyone got any experience doing this, will a stanley knife suffice or is it an LBS job?

Oldgit, you are an old git ๐Ÿ˜€

Jimmy, I'll hang on to the forks I think, I'd highly recommend a pair though.

In regards to the mock-Georgian garage door, I'm currently staying at my in-laws in New York where this style is highly popular.

Cheers

Nice!

Love the colour, slim tubes and lack of mechanicals.

You need to put another chainring bolt in!!

Chainline definately needs sorting, might as well move the ring to the outside while you are at it

brake lever position looks fine, but how big are your hands if you can reach the levers like that! Dial in some reach adjust!

I'm awaiting delivery of a set of chainring bolts, not very safe at the moment, I know.

I'll definitely stick the front ring on the outside and see how the line looks.

The fence is part of the squirrel highway so I'd feel bad repairing it, besides its not my fence anyway.

Nice and clean. though I don't like the graphics on the forks - but that's not your problem really, would be nicer without the red I think. Is it sacrilege to remove fork logos (or even possible?)

The logos will peel off, I'd have to give it some serious consideration before attacking them though.

I've looked around online for a set of the 2010 decals, they're a sort of grey-ish colour, which would probably go a bit better with the green.
