Hi all,
I have not been here for a while but always get good advice!
I am looking to buy a BMX for my son's birthday - he is a fairly accomplished cross country and downhill mtb rider but wants a BMX for the dirt jumps and having fun on.
I am willing to spend up to £400 maximum and don't mind a good nick second hand bike from ebay if that represents better value.
Done a bit of research but hardly recognise any of the brands from MTB.
Help!
🙂
Chris
i think stolen bikes look cool (i don't know much about bmx) although i'm looking around.
wethepeople have a good rep.
seems to be some good deals on ebay - but also lots of bikes being passed off as stuff they are not...
Thanks TomThumb - have been looking at wethepeople as well.
Problem is I want one too now I am looking at them.
Is 46 too old for your first BMX
🙂
Cheers
Chris
My mate loves his WTP arcade and uses that for everything, decent spec on it too I think.
Thanks sambob - liking the look of the Arcade too
Fit or United
ditto pinkbike when looking for a track bmx for my daughter got really fed up looking at daft stuff with logos stuck on - ended up with a new we the people arcade from local shop - she thinks its a bit dull looking but them at the pump track think its goodbut also lots of bikes being passed off as stuff they are not
for new i know there are some haters on here but winstanleys have some bargains - just not guaranteed will turn up - shoddy stock/supplier control - money safe

yes but i got an old merlin malt and single speeded it and with a full face helmet i look like the 53 yr old dick i am, red faced and scared - at 40 odd you should be able to carry off something more .... whatever it'll be the wrong word
I ride bmx alot, and i would very highly reccomend the saracen bmx's have recently riden one, it felt great for a bike that is less than 400. Also you cant go wrong with we the people. They would be top of my list...
