He's been riding in hard based tennis type shoes. I'm guessing that most of the cycling children ride with trainers.
Is there any particular type that is better? He needs a fairly hard sole but with grip as he's learning to jump and, seems to slip off the pedals a lot on the landing.
There is also a bit of walking involved when going up hills, for which the tennis shoe hasn't given enough grip.
Thanks
just get him kids etnies*
*other kids skate shoe brands are available
Or some kids approach/trail walking shoes you can get Eurohikes for v little at sports direct or decathlon
my boys both ride in skate shoes. Our local Soccer world (or is it called sports world?!?!) has airwalks at around £12 a pair. My sons have been riding with these for about 1.5 yrs now. Great with some v8 or other flat pedals. . .
