I'm not interested in speedo on the turbo so I bodged a £10 Halfords wired jobbie to work as a cadence meter

Get a cable one for the rear wheel and then get a cadence one for the crank arm with a heart rate monitor. I have 3 computers on mine.

One showing heartrate, one showing cadence and the other showing spped and time.

Ditch the computer, useless on a turbo and get a heart monitor/power meter and actually make good use of your turbo sessions 😀

Kurt kinetic do a computer which will measure power on a trainer and they are only £25ish. You can get one from planet x/on one. By all accounts they are pretty good for the price.

garmin 305 with cadence sensor, uses the rear wheel sensor for speed when you turn off the GPS and gives you speed, cadence, heart rate plus extras. You can also programme in sessions to use on the trainer and some are already programmed on the watch. Ace bit of kit for a turbo trainer.
