I wanna order tomorrow new brakes to replace Elixir's R.
I read alot and now Im choose between :
Slx m666 110 pounds from Rosebikes (+20 front rotor)
XT m785 130 pounds from Rosebikes (+20 front rotor)
and Formula RX 2012 155 pounds with formula rotors
Please help maybe someone compared RX to new 2012 shimano brakes?

I have SLX m665's at the moment and have had RX's in the past. The formulas are the best by far for stopping power and are lighter too, The pads run very close to the rotors though so setting up can be a pain but once done they're great. My SLX's were ever so easy to set up and the pads never rub but they are down on power and use a f###ing split pin to retain the pads and are therefore useless when your pads need a trailside change (unless you have a set of long nose pliers handy) formulas like Hope use an allen bolt and little clip.
Formulas every time....I am on the verge of getting rid of the SLX's.
I have elixirs on my race bike too and I can see why you want to change!
the m666 are another 25% more powerful than the m665 though so i am pretty sure there match the formulas. from rose bikes there like £120 ...
