[Closed] What BMX/Pump track bike?

I'm looking for a simple (rigid S/S?) bike just to bomb around a local BMX track with my son. Not looking to do big jumps. I'm after a 26in bike under £350.

Short list so far:
- Commencal Absolut Max Max (on sale at CRC)
- NS Holy 2 (again on sale at CRC)
- BigBMX(.com)

Anything else worth considering? Any experience with the above?

Thanks

I am currently lusting after one of these:

Unfortunately not officially available in the UK though. Could mail order one from the US though.

You sure you wouldn't consider a 24" wheel? Lots of choice in those.

A proper 20" wheeled bmx will be way better on the track. I found the rollers etc a bit too tight for my Blender which is meant to be a 4X bike. Get a bmx with a 21" + TT (depending how tall you are) and it'll be good!

These look pretty fun, and cheap:

only in 24" though

That GT interceptor looks lovely!

I can't imagine myself perched on top of a 20in wheeled BMX. I was after 26in just for the sake of familiarity as I haven't ridden anything smaller since I was about 12.

That Decathlon jobbie looks alright for the money.

Are there any other decent 24in bikes for sub-£350?

If you are going to be riding it mainly at the BMX track I would say 24" is your best bet.

There are lots of options at that price point, or you could get a very nice spec one if you spent that on a second hand bike.

Also lots of second hand bikes to be found here:

(Note that 24" BMX's are often known as Cruisers)

I know it may seem a bit weird and tiny and nervy at first but a real 20" BMX is great fun and riding one seems to make me better at riding big wheels (even though I'm lacking any rad skillz on the 20).
