Now that shed-dweller is a year old he's enjoying the odd bike ride. The problem is his kiddy seat's bolted to the back of an early 90's Muddy Fox hybrid, which is made of spindly gas tubing and is prone to severe flex (I can't even pedal standing up and cornering at low speed results in serious back end flop and on Sunday a brutal smashing of my knee on a guardrail when I had to correct some major wobble).
Cash is tight at the minute so my only option for funding a more rigid steed seems to be a new frame that I can transfer stuff onto from my other two bikes and then get rid of the frames/other left overs. To have just this bike and my road bike.
Criteria:
26" wheels (saves £200 on wheel costs compared to 29er option)
RACK MOUNTS
140mm fork capability (as that would be the fork I keep).
The only thing I've identified so far is a 456.
Anyone got any other ideas/experiences?
