[Closed] What bike for a grand?

Chap at work is now eligible for the bikes to work scheme. Basically he has a grand to spend and asked me what he thinks he should buy. Obviously my first thoughts are what bike should I buy, and I've had a scoot around and can't find anything that tickles my fancy. Sad days...

So if you had a grand, what would you buy? Has to be a complete bike, no frame only stuff or parts - otherwise it'd be a nice set of haven carbons...

Anything! It's not what I want, it's what you'd buy for a bag-o-sand.

If he's actually going to commute and has an interest in riding more in general, then this looks good....

Will are you sending the bleed kit, your ignoring emails and texts, if not let me know I can go buy one myself?

What's wrong with a hybrid then? Come on, I'd love to know. 🙂

Just because you don't like/need one doesn't mean everyone else doesn't.
THE MOST IMPORTANT thing about ANY bike is that its fit for purpose. No point spending £1k on an MTB and riding it to work and back every day is there?
